Number 3 is not upside down/mirrored.
The slot position is right of the LEGO logo (near the O).
Number 8 is very similar for both Dogbone series. Both bricks have the same slots, the same logo, the same mold number font and position. The only difference I have found is the difference in ejector pin marks.
Remarkable features: Ejector pin marks are seen on top of the 4 outer studs on the 2×3 and 2×4 bricks. The ejector pins have often formed a ring on top of the stud, but sometimes the top of the stud is just “flattened”. When the ejector pin marks are more difficult to see usually a small dimple can be seen on the studs without ejector pin mark.
Colors known: white, red, yellow, blue, fluorescent orange (it was probably made in more colours).
Unanswered Questions
- Is there any relation with the Targetbrick that also uses these 4 ejector pin positions?
